Test-it-off Customer Day at the BTL PCBA Production Facility in Benešov u Prahy

The first Test-it-off Customer Day at BTL brought an open discussion about automating PCBA testing and the opportunity to see the Test-it-off operating directly in real production. Participants shared their manufacturing experience and discussed how to address challenges such as the shortage of qualified operators or increasing testing efficiency.

Yesterday we held our first Test-it-off Customer Day at our client BTL Medical Technologies in Benešov u Prahy. We were joined by representatives from Mikroelektronika, Connect Group, and Safiral, companies that are actively exploring new ways to modernize and automate their testing processes.

The goal of the event was to show the real operation of the Test-it-off system directly in production, demonstrating how fully automated PCBA testing works in practice, how product changeovers are handled, how NPIs are done, and how the system can run autonomously for long periods.

What was planned as a two-hour visit turned into four hours full of interesting observations, questions, and inspiring conversations. The discussion brought some surprising findings. The main driver for automation was not economic benefits or reduced error rates, but the shortage of qualified operators and the desire to use their time more effectively than on repetitive manual testing tasks.

We thank all participants for their interest and openness, and a special thanks goes to Jan Kříž from BTL for making this meeting possible.

We look forward to the next event and to more inspiration from the world of automated PCBA testing.
