The Second Edition of Customer Day at BTL Medical Technologies brought open discussion about PCBA testing automation and the opportunity to see Test-it-off running directly in a live production environment. Participants shared manufacturing experience and compared approaches to topics such as ICT vs FCT testing, preparing FCT tests for new PCBAs, and improving testing efficiency.
Last Thursday, we met at the BTL Medical & Healthcare Technologies manufacturing facility in Benešov u Prahy for an afternoon built around practical experience sharing in PCBA production and PCBA testing automation. The discussions stayed close to day-to-day reality: what works on the shop floor, what slows teams down, and which best practices help manufacturers steer clear of common pitfalls.
Participants joined from Kitron Group, Murrelektronik, and UNITES Systems a.s. CZ. Instead of slide presentations, the group saw Test-it-off running directly in a live production environment and used the demo as a starting point for deeper discussion. The most active topics included ICT vs FCT testing, how different factories prepare FCT tests for new PCBAs, and where Test-it-off fits into modern approaches to PCBA testing automation.
During the production demo, we showcased Test-it-off project changeover and the NPI process, presented by Test-it-off Product Manager Radim Cahlík. The follow-up discussion, led by Radek Stourac, focused on practical questions and real workflows, with honest comparison between approaches used across different factories.
